HKK Široki TT Kabeli has officially denied reports concerning its player Chauvaughn Lewis that appeared on several local and regional news portals on Friday morning. The club says the claims were also refuted by the West Herzegovina Canton Ministry of the Interior and has called on media outlets to publish corrections.

HKK Široki TT Kabeli hereby officially informs the public that the information circulated this morning by local and regional news outlets concerning our player Chauvaughn Lewis is entirely false.
These claims have also been denied by the Ministry of the Interior of West Herzegovina Canton (MUP ŽZH).
We urge all media outlets and the general public to refrain from publishing and spreading unverified and false information that could seriously damage the reputation of our player, our Club, and the city of Široki Brijeg.
We call for responsible and professional reporting and encourage all media outlets to verify information with the relevant authorities or directly with our Club before publication.
Furthermore, we call on all media outlets that published these false reports, which originated from an inappropriate prank by certain individuals, to publish a denial and correction of the inaccurate claims through their communication channels.
